So, today I found out my boyfriend is allergic to something I use. Could be anything – perfume, soaps, washes, moisturisers, makeup… you get the point. Now we’ve got to play a little game called ‘process-of-elimination’ to find out exactly what it is. I don’t think he realises how long that game’s going to take to play…
Thus, I’ve been thinking about natural and organic skin care products. Doing my research, I came across Bloom Cosmetics’ organic range (aptly called Bloom Organics). Awesome. I’ve been a fan of Bloom since we had a little love affair in Melbourne in the summer of 2007. It was the first time I’d seen the Bloom store and, to be perfectly honest, I fell in love with the store first. Then I started smelling the products and the love affair was sealed in time. Sweetness.
While a bit more expensive than the regular soaps I use, I’m looking hard at the Bloom Organic Scented Soap (RRP $19.95) because I know the quality of the Bloom products and it is still scented – not something all natural/organic product producers take into account. Also, because the organic beauty industry isn’t regulated (that post next week), I can take comfort in knowing the Bloom Organics range is free from artificial fragrances and colours, animal testing, parabens, sulphates, silicones, mineral oils and petrochemicals. So, you see, there is no downside.
Here’s hoping it was my soaps he was allergic to!
