It had to happen – ghd hair straighteners have made it on to CC! For this one, ladies, you need a bit of back story: My hair is curly (in the way I can’t just wash and leave to dry because I’ll get little frizzies all over the place), thick, long (right down to my the middle of my back) and brown (you didn’t really need that, but now you have a complete picture). It’s impossible for me to drip-dry my hair, I can’t overuse heating products because it damages my already old long hair and the thickness of my hair means I had to allocate an extra 40 minutes to my straightening routine. Gross.
The two hair straighteners I had B-ghd were nice and all, but they just didn’t get the job done. I would leave the house, usually late, with straight hair and then catch myself in a reflection 20 minutes later with wavy, boofy hair. It just wasn’t working and I had to call those relationships off. Then I found my love.
ghd leaves my hair shiny and silky, something it never became with my other tools. It takes no time at all to heat up and only 15 minutes (if I don’t get distracted by Facebook or the news) to be completely finished. It heats right up to 200 degrees and creates perfect curls when I want them. It. Is. Fab. … and well worth the price tag.
Ladies (and men) – buy one today!

Has anyone used Dynamiclear for herpes outbreaks? Does it work? Please let me know if I should try it. Thanks for any ideas to remedy my usual herpes blisters and cold sores.
Hi Carol!
After asking around, I’ve had a few people tell me Dynamiclear is quite good although the general concensus is it takes more than the suggested ‘one application’ for results to be properly seen.
Personally, I’ve found Virasolve Cold Sore Cream is very effective in ridding your cold sore. Again, it takes more than one application, but you can feel and see results the next day.
Best of luck and thanks for reading CC!

Reading your blog – was like listening to myself! I too have thick (brown) coarse hair, very long and it’s not wavy or curly – it’s bumpy – i’m sure you know what i mean. As a teenager i spent hours blowdrying my hair – smoothing it out with hot rollers, or just slicking it back in an effort to CONTROL it. All the while people would comment on how luscious and thick my hair was (little did they know that it was acheieved by a day long strategic process!) anyway – along came the GHD, and i was sceptical at first, i’d tried straightners before – useless, but this one worked!!! Having worked in the hair salon for 7 years i know that applying direct heat to hair ultimately does damage it, however WHO CARES! cause my hair looks damn good and it only takes me one hour.
