Following on from one of the most fashionable weeks in Australian fashion history, I’m taking claim and calling it the most advanced look at future beauty trends defined by Aussie designers and their beauty teams. Here are my top picks from the 2010 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week:
Kirrily Johnston teaming with Dermalogica to prep models’ skin for a tribal look by the makeup artists:
Designer Kirrily Johnston has used Dermalogica products for almost ten years and says, “It never fails to leave my skin feeling rehydrated and looking healthy. My favourite of course is the MultiVitamin Power Recovery Masque. It’s the perfect way to feel fresh and rejuvinated after a long day at work.”
Samantha Harris showing those with darker skin can rock the smokey eye at Alex Perry:
Makeup by none other than Mr Glamazon, Napoleon Perdis.
ORLY determining the season’s colour trends with their polishes at Karla Spetic, with pretty polka dots:

(The Innovators and SWIM also had the ORLY touch)
Nookie’s go-anywhere, suit-anyone natural hair and makeup. HOT!
Dewy skin and clean, flyaway-free hair makes this look. The centre part looks to be huge this season!
Brad Ngata’s hair halo for models at Dhini:
Would you wear it?
“Dhini’s collection this season is all about flowing dresses and shirts with a very airy and light feel, inspired by an Indian Empress, so the idea was to create a crown of hair that was almost halo like. We wanted the overall shape to have a 3D effect, a nod to what this season is all about – texture and volume,” says Brad Ngata, hairdresser.
And for that little something cute (but wearable?), Anna & Boy swimwear provided guests with a peek at old-school swim hair and freckles:
