Tres Magnifique!

In Anti-Ageing, Complexion, Face, Preparation, Skin Care on July 26, 2010 at 8:00 am

I have a rather non beauty editor-y confession to make: until this year, serums weren’t even on my radar.  When I did hear about them, I was skeptical.  I mean, another thing to add to my daily routine?  No thanks.  But I did and gee, have I changed my tune.

Then I heard about another step – concentrate.  More time in the bathroom?  Geez.  But… After using Lancome’s Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate for only 2 weeks, my skin was – dare I say it – perfect! I used to have the problem of medium to largish pores, but with Genefique smoothed onto my face and neck post-toning, pre-serum, they tightened and closed to create the perfect basis for foundation.

Now this baby is not cheap, coming in at RRP $135 for 30mL, but I use only three drops per application – one for my forehead, cheeks and nose, one for my chin and lower face, and one for my neck.  That’s just six drops a day, so it lasts a loooooong time!

Here’s how it works:  Genifique stimulates the youthful genes in our skin and makes them work.  Hard.  It speeds up the process of repairing genes to a youthful time (six hours) rather than the regular time it takes aged skin to repair (a whopping 30 hours).  It’s so good that it now makes up 10 per cent of Lancome’s Aussie sales.  That. Is. Huge.  It’s also been 10 years in the making, so you know the kids at Lancome have worked hard to give you this one!

Other products in the range include the Genifique Youth Activating Eye Concentrate (RRP $135), and Youth Activating Cream (RRP $145).

Get it while it’s hot!
