So we’ve moved through Carrie and Samantha‘s looks from the Sex and the City 2 movie and now it’s time to take a relaxed look at Charlotte. Her look didn’t change so much from the series or the first movie. All that really changed was a little bit of added pink, inspired from her two girls.
A little pink tinge to your beauty routine adds a touch of romanticism, exactly what Charlotte is all about. If you’re not into putting it onto your face, try a slick of pink or cream on your nails. I love Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Pink Slip (RRP $13.95) for its transparency. It’s a lovely cream-based pink colour that would be perfect for a wedding or a garden party.
Charlotte’s so stressed from motherhood in the second film. Her girls cry and she’s worried about her nanny and her husband’s relationship. Abu Dhabi is a chance for her to relax and take some time away from her family. Often we need to do the same and you’ll see more holistic posts on Coveted Canvas from now as we realise taking time leads to less stress, which leads to better skin. Be Genki bath and shower oil in Serenity (RRP $34/100mL) is a blend of bergamot, palmarosa, rosewood, neroli, sweet almond and rose otto essential oils designed to bring about a sense of calm while nourishing and moisturising skin. Exactly what Charlotte would have used.
While Char doesn’t wear much obvious makeup, she does like a good lip colour. I’ve just discovered the new Benefit Full-finish Lipstick in Shy (RRP $36). It’s the perfect everyday lip colour and the coverage is great. It’s a very creamy colour and lasts for at least seven hours. Perfect for the busy mum (or busy fashionista)!
